It took more than a second glance to figure what I was looking at when I saw the first picture . An unusual painted candle stand In a crimson cloud!
Red is no doubt arresting and the London hybrid bus literally stopped me in my tracks . I still don’t know know what am I actually seeing because there are so many different elements.
I loved all your selections of red. They made me pause the scroll button, magnify, linger and then hit the comment button .😊
Fantastic! I learnt something new, I had to google Kosta Boda after this. Thanks 😊.
Great! They are fantastic, aren’t they?
Ann-Christine – Is Kosta Boda still going 🙂 ? Its presence was one of the main reasons my husband and I came to Sweden to buy all its then different glassware for all our [private family homes and even some of the businesses ! Loved it way more than the more staid Orrefors . . . . its gorgeous wine goblets were ‘dangerous’ tho’ as one could pour almost half a bottle of wine into one !!! May I say OMG ‘cause that goes back well over 50 years !!! They even made chandeliers !!!
I think they were founded in the 18th century – and still going strong. So, you have got many precious things from them? They are rather expensive! And I agree about Orrefors too. I don’t have many pieces from these glass companies, but I love to visit and stay a night or two at their spa hotel. If you ever come to Sweden again – I recommend you go there for a nice spa vacation!
nice and excellent

Stunning photos A-C.
Thank you. Red is an interesting colour – but I know I don’t have that many red alternatives.
Eye candy stuff

Love rid, it’s so vivid it brings everything to life
True – often very vivid. Too vivid for me to wear, but lovely in other things!
Clever stuff indeed!

Lovely guesses, Sheetal! Om fact this is a glass sculpture made by the artists at Kosta Boda – a famous glass factory in Sweden.
