Veckans utmaning från WordPress handlar om att fastna i detaljer. Mina två bidrag kommer båda från Tibet. Den första från två tempelväggar i Gyantze, den andra från Pothalapalatset i Lhasa.
My first contribution to being lost in details is from two temple walls in Gyantze, Tibet. Talking of details – so much time, effort and skill is put into this work.
The second one is from the Pothala Palace, the painted figures sitting over a window.

Så spennende begge steder sikkert, og ikke bare fine detaljer.
Visst är de. Hade så gärna åkt tillbaka en gång till.

Thank you. I was there and they are still there – I hope!
Gorgeous and vibrant! The first detail is almost three dimensional, like there is some texture.
If you mean the second picture – they are three dimensional, the creatures. The first one is painted only.
I did 🙂

Those little figures are just amazing and all so different. Talk about detail work!
Yes, I would have liked to visit the workers who make such figures. I so admire, and love to watch, skilled people working. I always want to try myself too.

Wow great photographs, if that isn’t what ”lost in details” mean I don’t know what is. Perfect for the challenge.
Thank you, Mary!
Gorgeous shapes, such lush colors.
They really are – the Tibetans are very anxious to preserve their beauties.
Perfect! I’d like to see more of both pieces – they are simply beautiful 😀
I would very much like to go back for more…
Amazing artwork. Thanks for sharing. 🙂
They are very skilled.
Are the walls painted or mosaic ? Beautiful!
They are painted – stonecolours.
