Lens-Artists Challenge #250 – Skyscapes or Cloudscapes

Amy invites us to share clouds and skies – and that is something we all can relate to. When I was a child, I loved lying on my back in the grass under my grandmother’s cherrytrees, appletrees and plumtrees, listening to the humming of bees, the birdsong and the soft purring from my cat. Watching the clouds sailing by…looking for interesting shapes and seeing them change and maybe finally dissolve.

Clouds mean something to most of us, and we look for that message…be it weather signs or just for fun.

I have chosen some moments when I could not stop looking at the cloudscape or skyscape.

A Sunny Day…One of Few

To remind me of one of the few sunny days this summer. Cold, windy and showers every day – this Swedish summer of 2017 will not be one remembered for its glorious weather. This week is also the last holiday week for many Swedes – always a bit terrifying…but nowadays it doesn’t matter that much how the summer was. I am lucky to be free!

How About a Cow Adventure?

I had just left my daughter at the airport, and decided to drive home on winding, tiny roads unknown to me before. And I got what I secretly had hoped for – I had a cow adventure! Are you a cow lover too? Follow me then!

Travel theme: Poetry

Travel theme this week is all about poetry.

William Wordsworth´s poem To Daffodils is one of my favourites. Especially since I found this marvellous illustration on it. Showing my students this piece of ”art cartoonery” from an unknown artist has been one of my ”musts” in life.

Travel theme: Sensory

Ailsa at Where’s My Backpack ? wants us to use our senses – and one of the places where most senses are at work is the Jokhang temple in Tibet. The dense smoke and all the people – eating, waiting, praying…

Vid det heligaste templet, Jokhang, ligger offerröken tung

…and the Tibetan landscape…its vastness and immense beauty, Its total silence is overwhelming.
