Yes, I agree. But it really looks like that in early spring. Unfortunately that stump has given in now – he survived in twigs for many years after his big trunk falling, but finally had to go. I photographed him every season, every year. A real friend he was on my walks.
When I was in college there was an apple tree I would visit frequently. There are a couple of others that I have a relationship with…not that we speak very much. 🙂
We don’t have to speak very much when we have entered a relationship, do we? I have an old beech tree I go to every week. He stands tall and free in the open on a meadow in the forest. In the register of protection worthy trees in Sweden, he wears my name. So proud of him. This week I learned the area is now under national protection since May 2019. 💚
That’s wonderful Ann-Christine. Lucky you and your Beech.
Green … my favorite too. Very nice image.
My old ”stump” is gone though…
The green is amazing!
In early Spring it is!
The tree looks like a carving and the green is luminous.

The contrast is marvelous!
Striking!
Love the contrast
Striking, isn’t it!
Though the theme is green, what grabs the eye is the non-green of the decaying tree.
True – and that’s the thing.
That tree stump is quite interesting. I love your photo this week. Thanks 😀
Thank you, Cee!
Luscious!
Green it is! So much life in this photo!
Early, early Spring – intense.
