Plants, butterflies and insects from a trip to a hidden valley in the Pyrenées. Gorgeous hikes and nature amazingly full of life.
This Astrantia major, common name great masterwort, and below, Eryngium maritimum, or the sea holly, are two of my favourite plants.
Love plants? There are more of them here, at Ailsa’s.
Gorgeous shots, Ann-Christine. You have a great eye for beauty. 🙂
Thank you, Patti! The truth is – I have to have beauty in my life. Addicted and cannot live without it.
I am the same way. It uplifts me and others. 🙂
It does!
beautiful gallery! love the butterflies 🙂
Thank you – I love butterflies, but they are not that easy to get in a good shot.
Beautiful and I love how you have chosen plants with butterflies and bugs on them, adds even more beauty.
I think the same – that the animals add to the picture something special. Glad you liked it!
Fantastic dear Leya, compliments!
Regards. Pat
Thank you, sweet Pat!
Så vacker den orange fjärilen är, den är väldigt lik blåvinge. Mycket vackra bilder och så fint att du fått med lite insekter också.
Tack så mycket, Lena! Det är en guldvinge – och visst är de typlika.
Ja väldigt!
Beautiful gallery, especially the one with the butterfly.

Thank you,! Yes, that Copper has got a marvellous color, but the Great White I like too.
Top marks 🙂
😀 Thanks!

Thank you!
Oh that blue one with butterfly- amazing. You are such an exceptional photographer Leya- I love all your work.
Why, thank you for such praise…I am happy of course that you like my work – now you just made my day!
Why, thank you for such lovely praise! I’m happy you like my photos – now you just made my day! ♥
The yellow one is a Large Copper and the White one is a Black-veined White.
lovely
Thank you, SAN_jeet
Love the insects/moths/butterflies on the photos. Moth because the white/last one reminds me of what we call a cabbage moth. Don’t know if it is a moth or butterfly, it is just a nuisance on green feed in the middle of summer.
I’m glad you like them! It is a butterfly though, a Black-veined White (Aporia crataegi)
