Sylvain Landry – Love. My two dogs loved each other dearly. And I loved the two of them dearly. Now Mille is gone and only Totti is here – left alone. Love very seldom lasts for ever.

Love too.
Yes!
That is such a quite photo. Two hairy balls! Sorry to hear about the passing of Mills. Always sad to see someone we love go.
It’s a particularly lovely photo to have of the two of them tgether Ann Christine x
It is. I miss Mille so much sometimes. At his favourite places and when looking at old photos…
So adorable!!!!! Have a great thanksgiving Leya!
You have a great thanksgiving too! I’m afraid we do not celebrate it here in Sweden, so I tend to forget. Thank you for reminding me!
wow, they are extra cute!
So sweet. I often wonder how my two dogs will do when one passes. They are pretty much inseparable.
Always difficult, yes. I think it is important for the one living on to realize that the other one is gone. Totti was there when Mille went to ”sleep” and could understand that he would not come back.
So sad.
You’ve captured a beautiful moment here Anne Christine, the bonds between sentient creatures run deep. Sad that one is gone, but bet the other is a very loyal companion?
Oh, he is. It took him about half a year to find his new role – but now he is OK. One problem though, he is so fixed with me that he has to check me out all the time. When we return from a trip somewhere he storms out of the door, past everyone else to greet ME. Then, after that, he MIGHT greet the others with a nose puff…
they are so sweet, my dogs are like this two, I worry how one will be when the other is gone………..how is Totti handling the loss of Millie?
He was with us when Mille went to sleep (we called for the vet to come home to us), so he knew that Mille would not come back. He came up to him afterwards and gave him a nose puff, then went to his bed. He never looked for him or searched or waited after that. He was a bit sad, and had difficulties in handling being alone and at the same time the leader dog now. After about half a year he had gained confidence and was the natural leader. Difficult as Mille always had been there for him – and Mille was a macho man…born to lead, but so kind and …too soft with Totti who could handle him anyway he wanted…
What breed are your dogs? Lovely having more than one to keep each other company.
That is so sweet, but so sad. I have a king Charles cavalier and a Maltese cross
Sounds like a nice combo – almost the same size too!
They are best friends, but the Maltese is the boss and so much smaller…..5kg compared to 15kg, he’s such a big cav
Wow, 5kg…
She’s a tiny little thing, all fur
Such a sweetphoto, Ann Christine. You must have such happy memories of the two of them playing together. 🙂
So I have, thank you. I filmed them playing together as well. So much fun and so careful boxing and hunting each other. No one ever got hurt.
Their fur looks so soft.
It does, but it is not as soft as it looks. The curls are rather ”hard”, originally to resist water well because they were water dogs from the start. When those areas in Romagna were dried out, the dogs were ”redirected ”towards truffles instead.
So adorable. I know you must miss Mille.

Every day.
