I love stones. Ailsa’s theme this week lets me love them openly… Franz Josef’s Glacier and Fox glacier in New Zealand was a paradise of stone and ice. I could not make myself leave it…in fact we were all enchanted and stayed for a whole day.

Stones are so comforting, solid and strong.
Great photos!.
The first photo in the set is so epic in its scale. I feel small just looking at it.
Nice comment – nice place to visit!
These are beautiful. I shared this post on Twitter.
Why, thank you so much! Have a nice weekend!
We hope to visit New Zealand one day. Beautiful!

Please do! You will only want to come back…again and again…
So fantastic – the last photograph looks like a weaved fabric laying over the rock face. These are an amazing collection of how gorgeous nature is when left untouched. Love this series of photographs.
Thank you Mary – I´m glad you enjoyed them as much s I do!
Such fascinating stone pics, Ann Christine. I love the stripey ones in the last photo. 🙂
Mmm – nature’s forces.
Oh my! These are all amazing…every single one!! How many million years does it take to craft those patterns?
Well, I know I have read about it, but my brain is not that fast any more…I should know. 😦
Absolutely magnificent! Those patterns are really beautiful.
Stones are almost a passion…they are enigmatic.
Proud to have them as part of my homeland.
Yes, you should be!
Häftiga stenformationer, den sista blev min favorit! … Jämtland är delvis rätt märkt av inlandsisen … Speciellt i de östra delarna av länet …
// Maria 🙂
Intressant med stenar tycker jag. Om man tittar nära rymmer de en helt egen liten värld, med åsar och dalar, buskar och träd. Fascinerande.
These are great!
I’m glad you think so! I love stones…
I can see why you were enchanted, I must put that on my ‘bucket list’ 🙂
It’s certainly worth a visit if you like stone and ice!
Oh my goodness, you have some beautiful shots of our stones and rocks. It is a very long time since I was in that region but I do remember the rocks so well.
Fascinating stones! Especial the last one.
Thank you, Amy! This is a fantastic place to hike.
Beautiful shot, Ann-Christine!
Thank you, Stefano. You know how much I appreciate your comments.
There is something in stones and rocks that tell stories. I wish I could do stone-read…
Lovely comment, I wish that too…
These rocks are gorgeous!
Thank you, Imelda! It was a gorgeous place to find them in!
oj, jag tror jag kommit till himlen! Vilka formationer.
